Jessie E. Poulin, M.P.H. is
an Associate Scientist specializing in environmental
and occupational health. Ms. Poulin has expertise
in epidemiology, biostatistics, and toxicology
and has contributed to numerous risk assessment reports and presentations.
She has assessed environmental and occupational health effects related to chemicals
such as asbestos, lead, mercury, and silica. She has experience in the emerging
field of burden of disease assessment and recently completed a document on
the environmental burden of disease from mercury. Ms. Poulin is proficient
in SAS statistical software and has analyzed data from national health datasets
including the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Census of Fatal Occupational
Injuries. She graduated from the Department of Environmental and Occupational
Health of the George Washington University (GWU) School of Public Health and
Health Services in 2007. Ms. Poulin was granted the Lazlo N. Tauber Scholarship
for Public Health and inducted into Delta Omega, the National Honorary Society
in Public Health. She currently serves on the board of GWU’s Delta Omega
chapter.
