Eric Hooker, M.S. is a Toxicologist and a new member of the Tetra Tech Sciences team. He has over 10 years of experience in toxicology including preclinical studies for pharmaceutical development. His experiences include project management of toxicology, teratology, and toxicokinetic studies using rodents and rabbits, developing study protocols, reviewing data, and writing study reports. His laboratory work included small animal techniques, primary mammalian cell culture, Ames bacterial mutagenesis assays, surgical procedures, handling hazardous and controlled substances, and GC-MS chemical analysis. Additionally, he has experience reviewing toxicity data to write comprehensive chemical safety assessments of consumer product ingredients. He has a BS in Psychology from Old Dominion University (1993) and a MS in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2000). Mr. Hooker has been approved as a candidate for certification with the American Board of Toxicology.
