Scialli Comments on the Parabens

Tetra Tech Sciences’ Dr. Anthony Scialli has published a letter in Reproductive Toxicology critiquing a parabens analysis from the Danish National Food Institute. The Danish paper had expressed concern about the presence of various parabens in consumer products based in part on the purported estrogenicity of these compounds. In his critique, Dr. Scialli reanalyzed the estrogenicity data and reproductive toxicology data, showing that the current permissible level of parabens in consumer products provides an ample margin of exposure.
