Gibb named Practitioner of the Year by the Society for Risk Analysis.

Herman Gibb was named the Practitioner of the Year by the Society for Risk Analysis at its annual meeting in Charleston, South Carolina December 5-7, 2011. Dr. Gibb was honored for his contributions to health risk assessment and for his epidemiology study of the lung cancer and clinical irritation risks from exposure to hexavalent chromium. The study was the basis of the 2006 OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit on Hexavalent Chromium.
