Dr. Scialli Reviews Folic Acid

Tetra Tech Science’s Anthony Scialli published a review article on folic acid in the FASEB Journal, the official journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. The article marks the 50th anniversary of the Teratology Society of which Dr. Scialli is a past president. Dr. Scialli and his coauthors reviewed the history of the discovery that folic acid supplementation during early pregnancy decreases the risk of neural tube defects and other birth defects and gave an update on current research on the role of folic acid pathways in embryo development.
