HESI Developmental Toxicology Workshop

On April 29 and 30, 2009, Tetra Tech Sciences’ Dr. Anthony Scialli, Annette Iannucci, and Eric Hooker will be attending the HESI Developmental Toxicology - New Directions Workshop, hosted by the HESI Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology Technical Committee at the Westin Washington DC City Center Hotel in Washington, DC. 

The purpose of this workshop is to provide a comprehensive and critical evaluation of developmental toxicity testing in the face of technological advances and improved mechanistic information.  Areas of focus will include current animal models and study designs, interpretation and impact of findings on human safety assessment, and application of new technologies and testing strategies. Recommendations and research needs will be identified.  

Annette Iannuci and Anthony Scialli will also be presenting a poster entitled, "Sensitivity of Rodent Prenatal Versus Developmental Neurotoxicity Studies for Identifying Developmental Toxicity."

Dr. Scialli is a Scientific Advisor to the HESI Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology Technical Committee, and he assisted in the planning of this Workshop.
