PBPK Modeling Workshop
Tetra Tech Sciences’ Eric Hooker is attendinging the Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Modeling In
Drug Development and Evaluation Workshop, hosted by The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences at The Westin
Alexandria in Alexandria, Virginia, on April 6 -10, 2009. PBPK modeling has been used extensively to integrate
diverse information from physiology, chemistry and biochemistry to estimate the tissue exposures resulting from
various dosing scenarios. The course is designed to educate attendees on the use of state-of-the-art modeling and
simulation techniques to assist in candidate selection, accelerate drug development and improve clinical trials
design. While this course is directed toward pharmaceutical applications, PBPK modeling also has applications
in environmental, occupational, and other exposures to chemicals.
