Dr. Gibb quoted in Lancet article on WHO effort to estimate the global burden of foodborne disease.

An article in the February 2009 edition of Lancet Infectious Diseases quotes Dr. Gibb regarding disease caused by chemical and toxin contamination of food. Dr. Gibb chairs the Chemical Task Force of the World Health Organization's Foodborne Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG). The goal of FERG is to estimate the global burden of foodborne disease from viruses, bacteria, parasites and chemicals by 2012. View or download the article here.
