Dr. Gibb will attend the second meeting of the WHO Foodborne Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG) in Geneva, Switzerland, November 17-21, 2008. More information on the meeting may be found here. A list of FERG members may be found here. The purpose of FERG is to determine the global burden of disease from foodborne illness including that from bacteria, viruses, parasites, and chemicals. Dr. Gibb chairs the Chemical Task Force of FERG and is a member of the Source Attribution Task Force.
