WHO Mercury Document By Sciences.

Ms. Poulin and Dr. Gibb are authors of WHO mercury document. The document, Mercury – assessing the environmental burden of disease at national and local levels, is the most recent document in the World Health Organization’s series on the environmental burden of disease. The document provides a review of the health effects of elemental, inorganic, and methylmercury and methods for estimating the burden of disease for methylmercury. The report estimates the disease burden from methylmercury for several populations, including subsistence fishers, sport fishers, and indigenous communities near industrial and mining activities.
