Sciences Publishes Study on Mercury Exposure in Ukraine.

Dr. Herman Gibb was the lead author of a study to be published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene in August. The investigation examined biomarkers to ascertain the mercury exposure of workers in a mercury recycling facility in Gorlovka , Ukraine . Funded by the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF), the study and determined that some workers had mercury levels in the range determined by the World Health Organization to have subtle neurological effects and proteinuria.
