Dr. Scialli Publishes on Perfluoroalkane Acids.
In light of concern about environmental exposures to perfluoroalkane
acids such as PFOA and PFOS, SII scientists have published an analysis of
the potential additive effects of different agents in this diverse class.
Their approach was to identify whether criteria for a “toxic equivalency
factor” analogous to that used for dioxin-like compounds could be supported.
Scialli et al. concluded that available data do not permit a combination of
perfluoroalkane acid exposure levels for risk assessment. Read
the article here.
