Dr. Gibb and Ms. Poulin to attend Foodborne Disease Burden Epidemiology Reference Group meeting at the World Health Organization

Dr. Gibb and Ms. Jessie Poulin will attend WHO’s inaugural Foodborne Disease Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG) meeting in Geneva on November 26-28, 2007 . The purpose of the meeting is to introduce WHO’s Initiative to Estimate the Global Burden of Foodborne Diseases and commence work in thematic task forces. Dr. Gibb and Ms. Poulin presented their document, Mercury: Assessing the Environmental Burden of Disease, at the WHO preparatory meeting for the Chemical Task Force of the FERG on June 29, 2007 .
