Dr. Herman Gibb is a panel member on “A Case Study of a Cancer Risk Assessment: Ethylene Oxide” at the Summer 2006 Toxicology Forum in Aspen, Colorado.

Dr. Gibb, an internationally known health risk assessor, will participate on July 13, 2006, in a discussion on issues affecting a carcinogenic risk assessment for ethylene oxide at the Summer 2006 Toxicology Forum in Aspen, Colorado. The discussion will address the extensive epidemiology database, a comparison of quantitative assessments using human vs. animal data, and the potential carcinogenic mode of action for EtO. Dr. Gibb participated in a risk assessment of ethylene oxide while at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and was a member of the International Program on Chemical Safety’s Final Review Board on the Concise International Chemical Assessment Document for Ethylene Oxide in 2002.
