Dr. Herman Gibb is the new President of Sciences International.

Dr. Herman Gibb is the new President of Sciences International. Dr. Gibb joined Sciences International in January 2004 as Vice President and Senior Epidemiologist. Since coming to Sciences, he has provided expert consultation to a variety of clients including Federal and State agencies, foreign governments, law firms, trade organizations, and the World Health Organization. Prior to joining Sciences International, Dr. Gibb had over 25 years of experience at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) where he worked in the Office of Research and Development, the Office of Pesticides, and the Office of Planning and Management. His most recent positions at EPA were Senior Science Advisor, Acting Associate Director for Health, and Assistant Center Director at the National Center for Environmental Assessment. Dr. Gibb has a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University and is an internationally recognized expert in risk assessment. He is well known for his work on the risk assessment of metals, in particular arsenic and chromium, and is lead author of a significant epidemiologic study on chromium. He was the Agency=s lead author on the Mercury Research Plan. He has been a member of White House Interagency Groups on risk assessment topics, World Health Organization and International Program on Chemical Safety working groups, and risk assessment working groups at the International Life Sciences Institute. He has been an invited speaker at many international scientific meetings and is the author of numerous risk assessment documents, journal articles, and book chapters. Dr. Gibb, a widely respected epidemiologist and risk assessor, will provide valuable leadership for the highly qualified group of health and environmental risk assessment professionals at Sciences.
