GSA ADVANTAGES
Using the GSA Federal Supply Schedule Environmental Advisory Services contract provides a number of substantial advantages to federal government agencies and departments. For example:
- The government agency or department does not have to go through the lengthy proposal, evaluation, and contract award process that often takes many months or longer. The GSA FSS contracts are already awarded to companies who are qualified to provide the services and have negotiated reasonable costs with the government.
- Use of the GSA FSS contracts assures the government that they are getting the best pricing and that the contractor has agreed to accept government credit cards.
- Purchase of services through the GSA FSS contracts count towards the small business minority business goals of government agencies or departments.
- Because the scope of work and costs have already been negotiated with the government, and the contract awarded the resulting contract is very unlikely to be subject to a protest.
- The GSA FSS contract vehicle allows contractors to use subcontractors.
- Blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) can be used for longer term and repetitive services.
